Aaron Dorfman, LCSW

Hi, I’m Aaron Dorfman, LCSW – Licensed Therapist in Colorado and Pennsylvania

I provide personalized therapy in Colorado and Pennsylvania, working with individuals and couples to navigate life’s challenges. I earned my Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of California, Santa Cruz (go Banana Slugs!) and my Master’s in Social Work from Hunter College, City University of New York. Originally from Los Angeles, I moved to New York City in 2012 to spend a year volunteering with AmeriCorps at a homeless shelter and an anti-gun violence organization.

I earned my social work license in 2015, and over the past 10+ years, I’ve worked in a variety of settings, including outpatient programs, nursing homes, hospitals, and managed care organizations. This experience has given me the opportunity to work with high-risk adolescents and adults, helping them build resilience and navigate complex life challenges.

I’ve trained in a variety of evidence-based therapeutic approaches, which allows me to tailor therapy to your unique needs. I specialize in working with clients facing challenges such as:

  • Social and Interpersonal Challenges

  • Anxiety

  • Work Stress

  • Life Transitions

  • Adjustment Difficulties

  • Grief and Loss

  • Family Issues

  • Relationship Difficulties

My approach is collaborative and client-centered. I focus on helping you develop the skills and strategies to manage stress, overcome obstacles, and achieve your personal goals. My goal is to be a supportive guide as you navigate the complexities of mental health and work toward lasting well-being.
